Job Summary *
The Alternate Task Lead assists the Recreational Services Task Lead with all functions and activities at the facilities.
Principal Accountabilities * (Typical duties include the following, although specific duties vary by assignment or contract.)
Update and reconcile required system-generated reports.
Provide set up and breakdown of furnished equipment, operate audio and video equipment.
Conduct weekly inventories of all associated equipment to ensure 100% accountability.
Provide weekly status of equipment and submit work orders for any necessary repairs or replacements.
Check facilities/equipment for damage.
Maintain customer feedback from various modes (Interactive Customer Evaluation (I.C.E.), comment cards, verbal, etc.); address comments in a timely manner.
Maintain a neat and organized area and supply room.
Ensure all equipment and supplies are labeled and properly stored.
Prepares and distributes flyers, posters, and other advertisement for events.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge & Skills *
Strong interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
Knowledgeable in Microsoft programs.
Knowledge of recreation programs, safety precautions, first-aid procedures, individual and team sports, community interests and needs.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Additional knowledge/skills may be required by contract or assignment.
Experience & Education *
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum two (2) years experience in similar role.
Secondary education or training in physical education, fitness or related field preferred.
Recreation Center experience preferred.
Must possess an American Red Cross CPR Certificate, an American Red Cross Standard First Aid Certificate or local equivalent certifications.
Additional experience/education may be required by contract or assignment.
Physical Requirements/Working Environment *
Living and working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable.
Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
