Job responsibilities will include, but not limited to the following:

  • Demonstrate initiative at all times

  • Strong desire to improve on skills and knowledge

  • Ability to produce own work in accordance with a deadline

  • Ensure full liaison with other members of the section and the Kitchen team

  • Strong communication with the Chef de Partie of the section

  • Completion of Brand Training & participation in related activities

  • Support of Departmental objectives

  • Diligence in prevention of wastage

  • Holder of a basic Food Preparation Certificate

  • Holder of a basic Health & Hygiene Certificate

  • To be aware of all Health, Safety and Fire regulations and to abide by their terms

  • To maintain high standards of personal hygiene at all times

  • To demonstrate proper and safe usage of all kitchen equipment

To move into this position you should have

  • Minimum 2 Years’ experience in 5* hotels

  • Team worker with a great attitude to work under pressure

  • Good conversational skill in English

  • Hotel School Certificate is an advantage

  • Excellent culinary catering talent

  • Basic Food & Hygiene training certification

  • Good knowledge and understanding of the kitchen and its operations

  • Demonstrate energy and enthusiasm at work

  • Knowledge of procedures and methods used in the preparation, production, presentation and storage of food items is required
