Role Summary:

Baker Hughes, a GE company is seeking a Field Engineer – Reservoir Navigation Services to be based in UAE.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Integrates data and performs interpretation and analysis using appropriate, state-of-the-art techniques to provide Best in Class solutions for the client.

  • Under broad direction provides direct instruction to Junior Field Engineers & Directional Drillers related to Well Placement & Reservoir Navigation.

  • Provides advice and direction to external customer and third-party wellsite colleagues as appropriate.

  • Provides resolution to a diverse scope and range of complex problems at the wellsite where analysis of data requires having a broad knowledge of the product line's tools and/or services.

  • Work is evaluated upon completion by a Field Supervisor (where appropriate), local Operations Management and the external Customer to ensure objectives have been met.

  • Expected to maintain frequent intra-organizational and external customer contacts with a high degree of professionalism.

  • Executes other related duties and special projects as assigned.

  • Conducts all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements and Baker Hughes Core Values.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Geoscience or related earth science discipline with minimum 2 years relevant work experience or Master's Degree in Geoscience or related earth science discipline with minimum 1 year relevant work experience

Desired Characteristics:

  • Develop and demonstrate proficiency in the skill profile required for the delivery of Reservoir Navigation Services at the well site,Client Offices or any other location as may be required.

  • Successfully complete additional advanced technical training and assigned well site development programs.

  • Strong communication and inter-personal skills; excellent customer awareness.

  • Ability to relate to well site personnel at all levels, strong team member, and demonstrate leadership capability.

  • Excellent problem solving skills with a drive for results.

  • Must be action oriented, ethical in value, and have a strong client focus.

  • Must be able to work both independently and as part of multi-disciplined teams working with an extensive client base.

  • Demonstrates competency in all aspects of his/her discipline.

  • Has awareness of competitor wireline/LWD technologies/measurements.
