JOB SUMMARY

The role of the Restaurant Manager for NAMU is to plan,organize, direct and control the work of staff members and (assistant) managersin NAMU while ensuring exceptional service and attention to guests. Assist theB&F Manager in the short term and long term goals of the Beverage &Food venue.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

25% of Time Spent

-[if !supportLists]->Manages daily shift operations and ensurescompliance with all Food & Beverage policies, standards and procedures.

-[if !supportLists]->Provides the leadership, vision and directionto bring together and prioritize the departmental goals in a way that will beefficient and effective.

-[if !supportLists]->Lead by example in all areas by becoming theexpert in all aspects of the restaurant.

-[if !supportLists]->Assist in developing, planning, and executingrestaurant promotional activities and events.

-[if !supportLists]->Maximize financial performance of the outletby driving upselling and control of payroll and operating expenses througheffective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions as well as inventory andcash control.

-[if !supportLists]->Select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate,coach, and discipline all employees in the division to ensure that establishedcultural and core standards are met: long-range strategic planning for outletoperation.

-[if !supportLists]->The ability to be visible in the operation,provide recognition, promote good public relations, and handle complaints,concerns or special requests for guests, clients, and group contacts.

-[if !supportLists]->Create and execute annual Namu marketing andPR plans.

-[if !supportLists]->Understand the business goals and regularlyappraise and evaluate initiatives.

-[if !supportLists]->Set goals around regular programming, keyweekly happenings and communicate updates among hotel teams.

-[if !supportLists]->Drive footfall towards B&F venue withawareness of revenue goals.

-[if !supportLists]->Lead creative input, managing of budgets, allcollateral design and production.

-[if !supportLists]->-[endif]->Drive partnerships that strengthen B&Fofferings and programming.

-[if !supportLists]->-[endif]->Manage all social media channel posts(excluding guest complaint management).

-[if !supportLists]->-[endif]->Work with appropriate hotel teams to managereputation review sites through Revinate (TripAdvisor, Starwood reviews,Facebook)

-[if !supportLists]->Select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate,coach, and discipline all employees, supervisors and assistant managers in theHotel s All Day Restaurant to ensure that established cultural and corestandards are met long-range strategic planning for outlet operation.

-[if !supportLists]->The ability to be visible in the operation,provide recognition, promote good public relations, and handle complaints,concerns or special requests for guests, clients, and group contacts.

-[if !supportLists]->Describe and ensure quality of all food items,ingredients, and preparation methods, as well as provide expert knowledge ofwine and spirits in an elegantly appointed environment dedicated to anattentive and distinctive experience for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

-[if !supportLists]->The ability to work closely with the AssistantDirector of Food & Beverage, Director of Food & Beverage, ExecutiveChef and Sous Chefs to design an effective menu and wine list while ensuringexcellent product quality at a fair price and attend regular operationalmeetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation betweendepartments.
