SUMMARY

This position will be expected to have an overall technical sales responsibility for a specific region. This will include developing relationships with current and potential customers to promote and develop technical specifications for projects. In addition, this position is expected to manage sales and distribution network in a specific region. Make presentations on key design features of the Oshkosh product line to customers and dealers. Train sales personnel on key selling features of Oshkosh products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage day to day sales activities for a specific region

  • Manage distribution network for a specific region

  • Assist with sales forecasting activities and determine sales objectives

  • Review market analyses to determine customer needs, trends, and price analysis.

  • Develop specifications to meet customers’ needs and drive speciation

  • Deliver sales presentations to key clients in coordination with sales representatives and sales managers

  • Create awareness of products, conduct training and seminars for clients and sales team

  • Participate in industry trade shows

  • Provide customer service to existing customer base

  • Develop and provide technical workshops for customers

  • Monitor and evaluate activities of the competition

  • Review customer technical requirements and suggest bids specifications

  • All other duties and responsibilities that are reasonably assigned by the employer or its designee

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field

  • 5-plus years experience in heavy duty truck sales. Fire Truck experience is preferred

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to travel 50% of the time and/or relocate

  • Background and good understanding in configuring fire/ emergency apparatus

  • Sales background with focus on customer satisfaction

  • Familiarity with electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical designs

  • Experience in fire apparatus engineering or design
