Role Summary:

The Middle East Sales Engineer, Powergen is part of the EMEA Powergen team, managing the

overall Sales effort supporting the DCS, Exciter and Starter, Installed Base Services business, in

dedicated territories or accounts, to ensure attainment of growth targets. In this role, you will be

responsible for meeting / exceeding assigned targets for dedicated territories or accounts inside of

Middle east.

Essential Responsibilities:

As the Middle East Sales Engineer, Powergen, you will:

  • Ability to develop andexecute on growth plans while meeting short term business objectives in a pro-active selling mode

  • Be responsible for earning customer trust through solid execution – establish win /win partnerships and deepen relationships

  • Focus on programs that are aligned withbusiness strategy and ensure resources are aligned properly

  • Be responsible for the overallleadership and day-to-day management of the opportunities within his dedicated territories oraccounts

  • Develop new business and/or retain and penetrate existing business in order todrive growth

  • Develop and drive the strategic growth vision and objectives, includingparticipating in essential operating rhythm processes with product management, engineering, andservices

  • Implement the execution framework on identified opportunities, which includes theorders forecasting, to deal closure

  • Manage assigned initiatives to maximize long-term tomaximize profitability

  • Create processes to seek new and/or additional income / businessdevelopment opportunities

  • Establish, cultivate and maintain customer relations atappropriate decision-maker levels

  • Monitor, analyze, and understand market activities tocontinuously update the business on all region dynamics including in-depth competitiveassessments

  • Develop effective market and transactional strategies inline with the businessobjectives

  • Lead the development of sales opportunities and coordinate with the businesslines sales support groups

  • Drive Commercial process improvements and leverage tools forgrowth (SFDC, etc.)


  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college in Engineering, BA or Marketing

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, management consulting, or strategic planning

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in high-tech sales and marketing, preferably in the DCS and/or Power Generation spaces


  • Willingness and ability to travelextensively

  • Fluency in English

  • Proven track record of account management and sales success

  • Understand thevarious financial instruments used by customers to conduct business

  • Strong negotiationand sales leadership skills

  • Prior experience selling contracts / products with technicalcontent of substantial value

  • Ability to accept constructive criticism and deal calmly andeffectively with high stress situations including continuing to persevere and remaining calm inchallenging or frustrating circumstances

  • Ability to work with a matrix organization in whichyou will take direction and lead others within various functions.

  • Ability to develop andmaintain customer relationships at all levels, including the CEO staff level

  • Customer-centricmindset, able to translate customer issues / needs into profitable business solutions

  • Abilityto effectively interface with all levels of internal and external customers

  • Strong oral andwritten communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
