DNV GL Intern - Associate Consultant in Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Maritime Advisory Dubai is a growing consulting unit in Region South East Europe and Middle East. DNV GL ambition is to be data-smart solutions organisation providing management and technical advisory services within the maritime industry. Our clients include ship-owners and ship operators (both Deep Sea and Offshore), banks and financiers, yards, and government authorities. We are seeking candidates to support our team of experience maritime consultants in advisory projects as well as Research and Innovation activities. The selected individuals can expect to work in a dynamic, high performing team with diverse background and experience, accelerated learning curve and working on exciting projects with meaningful impact to the clients’ organisation and wider maritime industry.

Major duties:

As an intern/associate consultant you will be part of an experienced team conducting Research or delivering tailor-made solutions to our clients within the Region and beyond, covering all elements of analysis and improvement projects leveraging on Big Data, Digitalisation and Analytics :

• Opportunity assessments – identify improvement areas within a maritime organisation and potential benefits

• Design of new solutions – working together with the client to develop cost effective solutions addressing the improvement areas from the opportunity basement

• Implementation in the organisation – ensure to realise the benefits by implementing the developed solutions both ashore and onboard

About the role:

This is a 6 month Internship opportuity with possible extension upon mutual agreement.

Working hours 40 hours, 8 am to 5 pm Sunday to Thursday

The right candidates will have the following background:

• Post Graduate qualifications in one or more of the following subjects: Shipping, Logistics, Maritime Studies, Information Systems, Data Analytics


The candidates are expected to be highly motivated individuals and driven to achieve superior results through teamwork and individual performance. Also, valued for their communication skills and high level of integrity. Be able to demonstrate the following
