IMD, GSAM, MENA Team, Assistant, Dubai (Maternity Cover)

  • Fixed Term Contract (6 months) Job Summary & Responsibilities Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) delivers innovative investment solutions through a global, multi-product platform that offers clients the advantages that come with working with a large firm, while maintaining the benefits of a boutique. GSAM is one of the pre-eminent investment management organizations globally. Critical to the success of GSAM is our ability to leverage a global team of talented professionals to define solutions and lead change across the operational infrastructure. This role is for an assistant to provide maternity cover for our MENA team based in Dubai. The assistant will support a team of approximately 6 (including MDs and VPs). Ideal candidate should be able to prioritize time-sensitive tasks, demonstrate dependability, sense of urgency, and high attention to detail. Candidate should display a consistent, professional degree of communication skills in person, on phone, and by e-mail and be comfortable working with people at all organizational levels.

Responsibilities include:

  • Diary management; co-ordinating multiple team diaries, ensuring all diaries are kept up to date.

  • Arranging travel; providing detailed travel schedules, liaising with other GS offices, organising, visas, cars etc.

  • Processing expenses and invoices in a timely manner.

  • General team admin including photocopying, faxing, filing, attendance tracking, and fielding calls.

  • Provide cover for other teams when necessary.

  • Local support of visiting team members.

  • Arranging internal and client meetings, along with the booking of conference rooms and catering

  • Adhering to Compliance regulations and gaining the relevant approvals.

  • Monitoring all client meetings in the diaries for your team and liaising between product team to ensure materials are provided. Basic Qualifications

  • 3 years of secretarial experience required in an Investment Bank.

  • Strong work ethic, hard working.

  • Flexible & reliable.

  • Positive attitude.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and stay professional in a busy environment.

  • Proactive - follow up where necessary without prompting and seek clarification when needed.

  • Willingness to help and be part of a team.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Good organizational skills

  • ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively.

  • Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
