Context

Within Oracle Consulting, our architects

own the architectural design of Oracle solutions for prospective and existing

customers. The same team also works on the development of ‘go to market

solutions’ for market place. These are senior roles to act as the link between

Oracle sales and delivery teams in the Oracle Consulting organisation.

The ERP Architect ensures solution architecture

feasibility and mitigates risk by leveraging a network of subject matter

experts in the various domains. The ERP Architect is also capable of proposing

customer roadmaps to realise the proposed solution.

Currently a need exists for an

experienced ERP Architect with a focus on functional process architecture and solution

architecture across all disciplines of the ERP function including finance,

procurement, project portfolio management and supply chain management. Oracle

application knowledge is desirable but not essential.

Scope of the role

The ERP Architect is responsible for

designing, developing and supporting business solutions leveraging the latest

versions of Oracle ERP Cloud, including modules like Financials, Procurement, Project

Portfolio Management and Supply Chain Management.

  • Works on client-billable andpre-sales assignments to lead the solution development

  • Works with sales and deliveryto ensure solutions are both sellable and deliverable to a profit

architectures and roadmaps.

Responsibilities

  • Toact as a trusted advisor to senior clients:

  • Todevelop compelling, profitable and deliverable customer solutions withOracle and customers

  • Tobe commercially astute when engaging and advising a client

  • Toact as ambassadors for Oracle application solutions throughout a customerengagement

  • Workclosely with client, sales, pre-sales and delivery staff to develop arobust architecture

  • Takefull ownership of “best practice” of your competency area, covering thewhole strategic footprint

  • Developstrong relationships with the product lines and in co-operation with the deliverymanagement teams, advise on competency requirements

  • Takefull accountability for the architectural solution of a pre-salesopportunity or project

  • Establishstrong relationships with your counterparts in Oracle partners

  • Formand maintain strong relationships with colleagues in product development

  • Managethe re-use and knowledge management of your competency area

  • Providesales awareness to the sales and delivery community within the OracleConsulting

  • Engage profitablywith your counterparts from other parts of the EMEA region

Knowledge and Competency Requirements

Education

  • Degree educated or equivalent

  • Preferably holds aprofessional qualification (eg accountancy)

Experience/Technical/Professional knowledge

  • 10years of relevant industry experience

  • Over10 years of demonstrable experience with ERP solutions at a consultancy orcustomer including business process analysis, systems analysis and design,and technical/functional solutions delivery

  • Strongawareness of some of the following application architectures. Oracleproduct and solution knowledge is desirable but not essential:

  • OracleCloud Financials

  • OracleCloud Supply Chain Management

  • OracleCloud Project Portfolio Management

  • OracleCloud Procurement

  • eBusinessSuite Financials, Supply Chain, Projects or Procurement

  • Hyperion

  • Othersimilar application

  • Detailedfunctional knowledge of all the major business processes and associated functionalityin the finance, supply chain, projects or procurement domain

  • Acreative and agile problem-solver

  • Excellentfacilitation skills, including experience planning and participating in architectureand design sessions. Have been through at least 4 complete implementationcycles

  • Experiencewith interacting with third party resources, including offshore teams

  • Provenleadership in managing, governing and providing oversight of internalteams, 3rd party integrators, consultants and vendors through variousinitiatives

  • Strongteam building skills, with ability to build quick and effective workrapport with distributed team members

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

As a recognized authority and leading contributor within their practice, this senior-level consulting position provides consistent high quality and innovative solution leadership to a project team. Leads the solution design and implementation aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality, integrated software solutions within constraints of time and budget.

Analyzes business needs to help ensure Oracle solution meets the customer’s objectives by combining industry best practices, product knowledge, and business acumen. Exercises judgment and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques to deliver functional and technical solutions on non-routine and very complex aspects of applications and technology installations. Provides direction and mentoring to project teams, and effectively influences customer leadership on key decisions. Supports the business development efforts by pursuing new opportunities and extensions. Collaborates with the consulting sales team by providing domain expertise. Resolves complex customer issues by recommending and implementing solutions. Demonstrates expertise in multiple business processes across two or more product families or ability to architect and design technology solutions encompassing multiple products and make decisions based on impact across the stack.

8-10 years of experience relevant to this position including 4 years of consulting experience. Prior team leadership or management experience preferred. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience preferred. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to build rapport with team members and clients. Strong influencing and negotiation skills. Ability to travel as needed.
