As a member of the property's Leadership Committee, the Director of Sales & Marketing is a highly visible role with exposure to Senior and Corporate leadership. He or she will position the hotel in the local marketplace through appropriate sales and marketing initiatives and ensure the hotel product and services align with the positioning and brand promise created through marketing communications.

The Director of Sales & Marketing has direct oversight of the Sales and Marketing operation of the hotel. He or she has responsibility of the Sales and Marketing Budget/P&L, revenue forecasting, advertising, marketing, developing and writing business plans, and ownership meetings. The Director of Sales & Marketing is responsible for the supervision of sales executives/managers, trainees, and administrative sales & marketing colleagues.

Additional responsibilities include the recruitment and hiring of sales and marketing colleagues, hiring, managing and coaching sales executives/managers in their selling process in order to meet company goals and maximize hotel revenues. Must be proficient in general computer knowledge and able to train and monitor both the group and transient contractual agreement process, quoting rates, sending referrals, setting traces, and the management of retention, reactivation, and acquisition accounts. The Director of Sales & Marketing reports directly to the General Manager. Communication and organizational skills are of the utmost importance.

Qualifications:
Ideally with a university degree or diploma in Marketing or Hospitality/Tourism management.

The ideal Director of Sales & Marketing candidate will have a minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Director of Sales & Marketing with a proven track record of success.
