Renal Care Solutions (RCS) is a division within Medtronic’s Minimally-Invasive Therapies Group (MITG) that reflects our organization’s mission to address the global needs of renal disease patients, providers and payers by improving therapy access, cost, and outcomes. As we move forward, we will focus on investments in three strategic pillars as we execute on our vision:

1) Full Portfolio of Renal Products: We intend to create a more comprehensive renal business through internal innovation, focused on our three growth drivers : Renal Vascular Access, Chronic Therapies, and Acute Therapies that add to our overall breadth and ability to meet the needs of more patients.

2) Renal Service Partner: In order to more completely influence access to quality care, dialysis-specific outcomes and costs, we must move beyond products and also be an active participant in the process of care. Our intent is to gain this capability through partnerships,and establish provider networks with local partners to expand therapy availabilityin select geographies where our products and capabilities will have a significant impact on patient care.

3) Comorbidity Management Solutions: To influence global patient outcomes, our reach has to expand from providing routine renal treatments and dialytic services to address the comorbidities of diabetes, heart failure and other cardiovascular diseases. Renal disease patients have frequent, predictable interaction with providers and are an ideal population for coordinated, integrated care across multiple diseases. Medtronic’s unparalleled range of products and capabilities can have a profound effect on the cost and quality of overall healthcare for these patients.

MAINPURPOSE OF JOB

Define drive the strategic direction of the Renal Care Services (RCS) division in MEACAT in strong collaboration with the MITG Country / Regional Business Leaders.

The role reports directly to the VP MITG MEACAT and the VP RCS EMEA.

The position is part of the MITG MEACAT Leadership team and the Renal Care Solutions EMEA LT.

MAIN JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

·Establish and roll-out the vision, strategy and annual goals and objectives for the RCS business for the MEACAT region, ensuring alignment with overall RCS business strategy and plans at EMEA level.

·Develop and implement business strategies and plans to grow the RCS business within MEACAT and to deliver yearly defined objectives in each country relative to AOP.

·Identify business growth opportunities and unmet customer requirements and provide focus for regional market development strategies.

·Analyze all relevant external and internal information to develop strategies to improve sales, decrease cost and increase market share for all RCS product lines.

·Work with the global business unit to provide input on forecast, inventory control, phase in/out plans, clinical evaluations etc.

·Partner with Medical Affairs to develop best in class training programs.

·Work with the regional RCS and MITG Market Development team to build robust plans to overcome barriers to adoption of our technologies.

·Drive talent acquisition development, as well as organizational development.

·Develop relationships with regional KOLs and other health care professionals and ensure the definition and prioritization of customer requirements, through participation in physician organizations, societies and events.

JOBQUALIFICATIONS

•B.A degree ideally coupled with postgraduate degree.

•Fluency in English and ideally another regional language.

JOBEXPERIENCE

·Minimum 10 years ‘experience in medical device sales and marketing roles of increasing responsibilities.

·Strong track record of success and achievement.

·Results driven and focused.

·International sales or marketing experience required.

·Medical device industry experience preferred.

·Must have experience working on cross-functional, cross-business issues and generating impact through others.

·Experience with MITG products a plus.

·Experience of working in a matrix structure

·This individual must have the drive and ambition to grow the sales of the RCS business exponentially in the MEACAT region.

·He/She must be able to stay focused on the strategic growth drivers by country and not get distracted as a multitude of opportunities present themselves.

Travel Required:

Up to 70% within the MEACAT and EMEA region.Occasional global travel required.
