Business Development Managers (BDMs) focus on selling training solutions to blue chip companies across all major industry sectors (Energy, Pharmaceuticals, IT, Telecoms, Manufacturing, Finance etc) and the government sector. Middle East Business Development Managers work as part of a team with other BDMs located in our Dubai office, and report to the Sales Director, who is based in the UK.

  • Use a strategic selling approach to identify, target and penetrate organisations with needs appropriate to Strategy Execution’s services and products.

  • Achieve revenue targets based on new business development across multiple sectors, or vertical markets (as appropriate).

  • Develop account plans to generate sales in assigned accounts and/or market sector.

  • Create and write client proposals, and deliver client presentations, in partnership with senior sales and delivery resources as appropriate.

  • Whilst developing an in-depth understanding of each client’s organisation, the BDM, will create customised solutions that meet specific client needs, and hence maximise Strategy Execution’s sales.

  • Maintain a high level of understanding of the business trends and issues facing the assigned market sector.

  • Be willing to travel as and when the business dictates, both in the UAE region and across the rest of the Middle East, including Saudi Arabia, and occasionally elsewhere (e.g. to the UK & U.S.).

  • Manage client relations ensuring the overall satisfaction and profitability of each client account.

  • Partner with various internal resources to ensure that proper pricing, staffing and delivery targets are set for proposed solutions.

  • Work with various internal resources to ensure quality handoffs for delivery of solutions.

  • Bi-lingual, with the ability to conduct professional business discussions in both English and Arabic

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background of selling complex solutions in the learning and development industry

  • Well educated, preferably to degree level or with a professional qualification

  • At least 7 years business development/sales experience with extensive knowledge of building strategic relationships/selling in at board or divisional levels of corporate companies

  • Track record of achieving revenue targets in a new business capacity

  • Business development experience should include selling into Fortune 500/FTSE 100 companies preferably across at least one of the following sectors: I.T, Manufacturing, Telecomm, Banking & Finance. Oil & Gas or Pharmaceuticals

  • Will have experience of communicating and presenting at different levels within many businesses

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Confidence and maturity to command respect in all areas of the Strategy Execution business (internally and externally)

  • The ability to develop and command trust and credibility through a professional, knowledgeable and articulate demonstration of the company’s value proposition and offerings

  • Independent, self-disciplined and self-motivated, but equally able to work as a productive team member and continue to promote company culture and values

  • Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines, and be sensitive to the needs of the commercial environment and the team

  • Flexibility of approach to operate effectively within a dynamic and demanding environment, and ensure that barriers to entry are not prohibitive of success

  • Must have the self-motivation and mental agility to provide sensible and effective strategies/solutions - in EMEA, BDMs can sometimes have limited access to delivery resources (Program Managers and Instructors) so the ability to work on client solutions independently is important

  • Must have exceptional presentation skills and possess the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
