Job Summary

Senior Delay Analyst with minimum 15 years of scheduling experience, and a minimum 5 years in forensic delay analysis/ project controls/ planning within a Client, Consultant and/or Contractor. The candidate should demonstrate a proven track record at a senior level in project planning / scheduling, and possess a good understanding of standard and bespoke forms of contracts. The candidate will an expert user of Project management software (Primavera P6) and have excellent analytical and report writing skills.

Job Duties

  • Evaluate Contractor’s delay and disruption claims, quantify delay damages and assist in formulating claims strategy with the Lead Delay Analyst

  • Assess entitlement to Extension of Time claims occurring as a result of delays, disruption and loss of productivity utilizing production rate and work cycle analysis techniques

  • Demonstrate impacts to critical path(s) and identify dominant delay in contractor’s construction schedules prospectively and retrospectively

  • Draft Claims Assessment Technical Reports to a high standard of English

  • Assist in dispute resolution and claims planning and negotiation strategy

  • Must be demonstrably analytical and possess exceptional fact finding ability to research complex historical project records

  • Ensure incorporation of scope changes and review trends to reflect the project scope

  • Review/reschedule activities not matching the planned duration to minimize or eliminate any impact on critical path

  • Work with project managers, construction and commercial teams to provide appropriate support for contract and claims management procedures and ensure schedule input to the change management procedure

  • Monitor and assess early warnings and likely delay notifications from contractors and assess potential impact on construction progress

  • Review and audit Contractor’s time impact methodologies and ensure the assessment of delay claims in accordance with the conditions of contract

  • Present complex Extensions of Time and delays analysis reports to Executive level stakeholders and Client representatives in oral and written English

  • Flexible and creative finding solutions to problems

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science/ Engineering / Construction Management from an accredited internationally recognized institution or university. Project Management certification preferable.

  • Minimum fifteen (15) years relevant experience and qualifications in comparable projects including demonstrated knowledge of Primavera and forensic delay analysis. Preferred mixed used experience, airports, high-rise experience will be an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High level of literacy skills in English

  • Excellent working knowledge of airports

  • Experience in planning/ scheduling with Primavera P6 on similar projects

  • In depth knowledge and proven experience of delay analysis techniques

  • Good knowledge of different forms of contracts

  • Very good computer skills (Excel, Access)

  • Excellent working knowledge of industry practices/safety/quality management systems

  • High level of critical thinking and numerical skills

  • Very good literacy in English
